GAS PRICES MARCH HIGHER
I know you’ve
read it in the paper; fuel prices are going to soar this summer! I was
speaking to a friend the other night about fuel prices and the aviation
industry and it jogged my memory that in 1990, when I first came to Conway
the wholesale price of jet fuel was almost exactly HALF of what it is
today. WOW, that looks even worse on paper; we’re paying twice as much
for fuel today as we were in 1990!! A huge part of that increase is the
taxes that we pay on each and every gallon that we purchase. Effective
today, our fuel prices will increase to reflect the recent increase in the
state sales tax.
SPRING IS NEAR
March 1, 2004,
the sky is blue and the expected high today is 70 degrees! Spring must be
near. It’s that time of the year when we start to see more and more of
you trying to fit in a flight lesson or a few touch and go’s in the
evening. We’ll be open a little later in the evening beginning this
month.
